Life at Herrens Mark
Herrens Mark is bustling with life all year round, as Broendegården (The Broende Farm) also serves as the backdrop for Michael's wife, Helle Wullf Hansen, who works as a craniosacral therapist and movement educator.
Credibility and Organic Farming
There was never any doubt that Michael Mohr Jensen saw himself as an organic farmer. Organic farming is a gentle cultivation method that takes into consideration both people and nature, contributing to ensuring that we also have something to pass on to future generations. With 30 years of experience as an organic vegetable grower, Michael has a solid focus on plants and cultivation. This means that products from Herrens Mark are pure, from herb to final product.
Michael is driven by curiosity and a focus on a life with a balanced body and soul, which is the focal point of product development. At Herrens Mark, there is constant attention to product quality, which is regularly tested in laboratories, and collaboration with various researchers and specialists is ongoing.
Connection Between Nature and Body
Michael has worked as an organic vegetable grower since 1989, but in 2010, he took over the production of what was then called “Fynsk Mælkebøttesaft”, but is now known as REGOPUR, fermented dandelion extract. A shift in production that was in line with Michael's long-standing passion for the connection between nature, the body, and the mind, and an interest in how what we eat and drink also affects us. In 2013, Herrens Mark expanded with REGOMEO, fermented red clover extract, and in 2020 with REGOROS, which was replaced by REGOBONE in 2022. Thus, Herrens Mark now focuses on the development and production of food supplements.
The History
Herrens Mark builds upon Martin Lægteskov's invention of “Fynsk Mælkebøttesaft”, which today bears the name REGOPUR, fermented dandelion extract from Herrens Mark.
This invention came to light because Martin Lægteskov was feeling unwell after a work accident. He was advised to try dandelions, so he began eating and juicing dandelions. It seemed to help, and word quickly spread about the effects of dandelions. First, he and his family collected dandelions in apple orchards and ditches around Funen, which they poured into patent bottles. The juice went into production, and Martin Lægteskov became famous as "The Wise Man from Assens."
The Coveted Dandelion Extract
However, he quickly realized that he couldn't meet the demand for dandelion extract on his own. He therefore, entered into a partnership with the Brandt family, who produced “Fynsk Mælkebøtteekstrak”t on the Nakkelund farm north of Assens from 1965 until 2010. They then passed the production on to Michael Mohr Jensen in 2010.
